Dr. Adam S. Clark, Superintendent of the Mt. Leading a diverse district of nearly 29,000 students and 3,500 staff, Dr. Clark has built a reputation for navigating complex systems with clarity, compassion, and purpose.

A recipient of numerous prestigious honors, including the 2025 Mike Kneale Excellence in Education Award, 2023 CAAASA Superintendent of the Year, and 2022 ACSA Superintendent of the Year, Dr. Clark is widely respected for his unwavering advocacy for students and his ability to lead through challenge and change. His leadership extends beyond his district as President of the California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators (CAAASA) and the National Coalition on Education Equity, where he champions equity and excellence on a broader stage.

Under his leadership, MDUSD has strengthened instructional focus in literacy and math, expanded mental health and social-emotional supports, enhanced community engagement through transparent communication, and successfully navigated crisis response and recovery. Equity Panel and Closing Remarks/Raffle
Thursday June 11, 2026 2:20pm - 3:30pm PDT
This Equity Panel brings together experienced education leaders for an evidence-informed, solutions-focused conversation about advancing equity, access, and inclusion across classrooms, districts, and systems. Moderated by Tracie Tagamolila‑Noriega, the panel features Rebecca Cheung (UC Berkeley), Nicole Anderson (consultant), Janet Schulze (Pittsburg USD), and Daryl Camp (San Lorenzo USD). Panelists will collaboratively surface practitioner and research perspectives and work with attendees to spotlight concrete strategies—identifying and dismantling barriers, designing policies that center historically marginalized students, aligning resources to need, implementing culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogy, strengthening family and community partnerships, using data ethically, supporting multilingual and special education students, applying restorative discipline, and measuring equity progress—while also addressing implementation challenges and trade‑offs. Participants can expect practical takeaways, models for shared leadership and professional learning, and actionable next steps to build more equitable learning environments together.
